第60届威尼斯艺术双年展今年的威尼斯艺术双年展主题是“无处不在的外国人”。展览将探索“外人”概念，关注边缘人群，包括流亡者、难民、移民、原住民和酷儿群体。展览将于2024年4月20日至11月24日举行。展览主题来自意大利巴勒莫的艺术团体克莱尔·方丹2006年创作的霓虹灯系列作品。这组作品以不同颜色和语言的霓虹灯呈现“无处不在的外国人”这句话，作品标题则是以都灵的同名无政府主义和反种族主义团体“Stranieri Ovunque”（意为“无处不在的外国人”）命名。

本届双年展将包括“Nucleo Contemporaneo”和“Nucleo Storico”两部分，前者专门展示当代作品，后者关注更早的作品，目的是将现代主义经典扩展至欧美以外的国家。

The 60th Venice BiennialThe 60th International Art Exhibition will take place from Saturday 20 April to Sunday 24 November, 2024. The title “Foreigners Everywhere” is drawn from a series of works started in 2004 by the Paris-born and Palermo-based collective Claire Fontaine. The works consist of neon sculptures in different colors that render in a growing number of languages the words “Foreigners Everywhere”. The phrase comes, in turn, from the name of a Turin collective who fought racism and xenophobia in Italy in the early 2000s: Stranieri Ovunque.

The Biennial consists of two sections, “Nucleo Contemporaneo” and “Nucleo Contemporaneo”. The former is dedicated to contemporary art, while the latter focuses on early artworks, with the aim of bringing the Modernist classic beyond Europe.

Luca CerizzaLuca Cerizza is a curator, writer and art historian based in Berlin. He is curating the exhibition of Massimo Bartolini at the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennial 2024. Cerizza has taught at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan) since 2006. His books include Alighiero Boetti. Mappa (Afterall, London 2008/Electa, Milan 2009) and L’uccello e la piuma. La questione della leggerezza nell’arte italiana (Et al. Edizioni, Milan 2010). He curated the collection of Giovan Battista Salerno’s essays on Alighiero Boetti (Massimo De Carlo, 2009), the anthology of critical essays by Tommaso Trini (Johan & Levi, Milan, 2016), and the most complete monographs on Diego Perrone and Gianni Pettena (Mousse, Milan 2020).

中国馆以《美美与共——“集”》主题，希望传达中国传统文化中“美美与共”、“和合共生”、“兼容并蓄”的价值理念。“集”强调融合，代表了世界范围内不同身份、不同人种、不同信仰、不同观念、不同目的、不同媒介、不同背景、不同文化等多样性的汇聚，它是一种邀请，一种吸收和接纳，创造出对话、沟通和互相的理解。基于“集”的主题，展览将分为“集”和“传”两大板块。

With the theme “Harmonious Coexistence – Inclusiveness”, China Pavilion upholds the beauty of each civilization and diversity of civilizations in the world. “Inclusiveness” means the integration of different identities, races, beliefs, concepts, backgrounds and cultures. It is an invitation and acceptance, which creates communication and mutual understanding. The exhibition will be divided into two sections based on the concept of “Harmonious Coexistence”.

王小松艺术家、策展人，浙江大学艺术与考古学院副院长、当代艺术设计研究所所长、教授、博士生导师。作品曾在意大利美第奇家族“里卡尔第宫殿”展出，负有盛名的德国科布伦茨路德维希美术馆、德国吕贝克美术馆也曾为其举办个展，同时，王小松也是首位在维也纳分离派创始地“艺术家美术馆”举办个展的中国艺术家。

Wang XiaosongWang Xiaosong is an artist, curator, doctoral advisor, professor and vice dean of School of Art and Archaeology at Zhejiang University. His solo exhibitions have been held in Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Italy, Ludwig Museum Koblenz, and Lübeck Museum Germany. He is the first Chinese artist to have a solo exhibition at Künstlerhaus Wien in Vienna.

Peggy Guggenheim Collection The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important museums of European and North American art of the twentieth century in Italy. It is located in Peggy Guggenheim’s former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice.

The museum presents Peggy Guggenheim’s personal collection, masterpieces from the Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof collection, a sculpture garden as well as temporary exhibitions. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is part of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, whose constellation includes the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and the future Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

Jennifer Chert Jennifer Chert is director of ChertLüdde Gallery and member of the selection committee of Art Basel. Founded 2008 in a backyard garage in the multicultural area of Kreuzberg, the gallery has rapidly established with its progressive and experimental program to one of the leading galleries in Berlin. ChertLüdde shows usually a few exhibitions at the same time and curates a bookshop with zines and artists' books. We will have a backstage visit and an exclusive preview of her new exhibitions for the Gallery Weekend.

Prof. Andreas Greiner Prof. Andreas Greiner teaches media art at the Muthesius Academy in Kiel. He is a passionate nature explorer with a versatile practice ranging from time-based to living sculptures. He is also one of the pioneering artists involving artificial intelligence in his artistic experiments and multimedia installations. He had recently major solo exhibitions at Berlinische Galerie, Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Mönchehaus Museum Goslar as the 34th recipient of the Kaiserring emerging-artist award. In Berlin we will visit him in his studio community at the Malzfabrik, run in close collaboration with the colleagues Julius von Bismarck, Julian Charriere and Raul Walch.

Raul Walch Raul Walch is an artist, painter and performer, working usually on large scale projects for museums and public spaces. He is committed to social and political interaction that often starts with a drawing on paper. One of his collaborators is the wind: his work has often included sailboats mobiles, kites and flags, designed to play with the wind and imagination of the viewer. Raul Walch is board member of the Union of Berlin Artists and the Floating University, where we will meet him.

Christoph Tannert Christoph Tannert is a curator and director of Künstlerhaus Bethanien, one of the major exhibition venues for Contemporary Art in the city. Founded 1975 Künstlerhaus Bethanien runs an international studio program for young artists and post-graduates, supporting them financially, providing working space and introducing them to the Berlin art scene through solo exhibitions and publications. Thus, Künstlerhaus Bethanien operates as a springboard for young artists who can rely on the experience of Christoph Tannert and the established network of the program. We will meet him for a talk at the exhibition spaces of Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Kreuzberg.

Prof. Susanne Lorenz Susanne is a conceptual artist and fine arts professor at the Berlin University of the Arts. She gained prominence in Berlin with the “Badeschiff” (2002) on the river Spree - a floating swimming pool with reference to the history of spas at the beginning of the century. Her work is often on view in public spaces and is based on a spatial and interdisciplinary approach, relating to site-specific and architectural observations. We will meet Susanne at University of the Arts in Berlin.

Anna Catharina Gebbers Catharina is one of Berlin’s most prolific curators in Contemporary Art, involved in numerous projects internationally. She is curator at the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum for Contemporary Art and responsible for international media and performance art. She has staged numerous memorable exhibitions as Eva Fàbregas (2023), Micro Era. Media Art from China (with Cao Fei, Lu Yang, Fang Di and Zhang Peili), Anne Imhof (Forever Rage, 2015; Angst II, 2016) and Julian Rosefeldt (Manifesto, 2016).

Prof. Albrecht Schäfer Albrecht is professor of sculpture at the Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin. He is known for his experimental and conceptual work, spatial installations and poetic interventions. He has been working in new media and always looking for new visual methods and forms of expression, which has led him in recent years back to painting. We will speak with him about the special balance between painting and conceptual art.

Prof. Jorinde Voigt Prof. Jorinde Voigt is one of the most renowned and versatile German artists and professor of drawing at the art academies in Hamburg (since 2019) and Munich (2014-2019). Inspired by musical scores, weather charts, literature and philosophy, Jorinde has developed a unique artistic language that triggers imagination to a new dimension. Mostly known for her complex and sensual drawings, Jorinde has been working recently in painting and sculpture too that we can experience in her studio.

Boros Collection Founded by Karen and Christian Boros, the Boros Collection is a private collection of contemporary art in Berlin. Housed in a converted bunker, it comprises approximately 900 paintings, sculptures and installations, and includes groups of works by international artists, such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Damien Hirst, and Tracey Emin, dating from 1990 to the present. The Collection is highly regarded for its unique exhibition space and its innovative approach to contemporary art.

Christian Boros Christian Boros is director of an advertising agency, art collector and co-founder of the publishing house Distanz. Boros is known for his early approach to now well established artists. He started collecting art at the age of 18.

Daniel Knorr Daniel Knorr lives and works in Berlin and Hong Kong. His international cross-genre practice is often reflecting economic and socio-political phenomena based on much research and humor. The relationship between public and private, artists and public is one of his central topics, blurring borders between the rational and visible. His work has been on view at the most prominent international exhibitions as Documenta, Venice Biennale, Berlin Biennale and Manifesta. He will speak with us about his recent work and studio in China.
